Starting the Keto Journey in the Philippines

I have just started a new journey a couple of months back and this was probably one of the most difficult decisions I have made. I love rice, pretty much any Filipino does. The last thing you would drastically change in a diet, unless you are diebetic or ill, is to decrease your carb intake and increase your fat intake. What I realized however is that the most difficult step in doing this diet is deciding to take the leap. For the past 3 months, I had to look for carb alternatives, and here in Manila that would be a challenge. The good thing is here in Manila, fats are everywhere. Yes there are only a handful of restaurants here that provides keto options, but there are ways to enjoy Manila's finest cuisines, and still remain in ketosis. So while taking this journey, I would like to share how I navigate the metro to look for keto options, most especially the tastiest finds. To start my first Keto at this Keto Metro blog, I had the privilege of getting the most important meal of the day with a keto breakfast at Early Bird Breakfast. This breakfast haven is in The Fort Strip BGC and they serve keto breakfast replacing rice with cauliflower rice. I like their homemade bacon and their keto breakfast which includes sausage and 2 thin bacon strips. Come see the pictures below to show you what I mean. Prices are a bit mid range, but the portions are good. The servers are also friendly, and they will freely offer you options so don't hesitate to ask.
